Pretty much everything in our home was still builder-grade when we bought it, with the exception of a few upgrades, like our granite countertops and bar. Sometimes, though, these home projects don’t always go as planned. So far it seems that what should be the hardest projects, like tiling the backsplash, have actually been the easiest (Aaron had never tiled before, and he knocked it out in about 3 hours, including measuring and cutting all of the individual tiles), whereas the “easy” projects end up being the most complicated and stressful, like our most recent project, painting a door.

The Do's & Don'ts of Air Travel with Kids

Our trip to Nashville in July was our 6th airplane trip with kids, so although we’re not technically kid-travel experts, I think we’re pretty darn close. We’ve traveled with one, two and three children; infants, toddlers, kids. We’ve done domestic and we’ve done international (twice). Pumpkin Cheesecake, Cali Style

Fall is here! I love fall, it’s one of my favorite times of the year. I love the crisp, cooler air. I love the cozier clothes; jeans, long sleeved shirts, boots. I love the warm, homey smells of cinnamon, cloves, bergamot, cider. And I LOOOOOOVE the tastes of fall. Pumpkin. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Sweet potato. Brown sugar. Pecans. Caramel. Honeycrisp apples. Yummmm. I think fall foods are some of the absolute best. Thanksgiving feast anyone? Yum yum yum!
